Quiz Night

With the support of Hedge End Breakfast Rotary Club, we held a fundraising quiz night on 25th November 2011, at Ford Sport and Social Club in Southampton.

Doors opened at 7.30pm, and with 14 teams, each of 4-6 quizzers, a great deal of fun was had by all.  We had a wide range of questions, ranging from General Knowledge to Food, with the usual topics in between.  There were also varying degrees of success from round to round.

The prizes of wine and chocolates for the winning team, and the consolation prize of crisps for the losing team, were kindly donated by Budgens of Hedge End.

During the interval there was a prize draw, and all prizes were claimed on the night.  Usborne books also joined us for the evening.

The evening was a fantastic success, with a total of £786 being raised through the combined sale of tickets to the event, and raffle tickets for the prize draw.  To add to the success of the evening, Hedge End Breakfast Rotary Club announced that they were also contributing the sum of £450, bringing the total to a staggering £1,236!

A massive thank you goes out to everyone involved in making the evening such an amazing success!

Terms and Condition of Quiz Night and Prize Draw

Parking at the venue is free, but restricted to the Ford Car Park on Wide Lane.  There should be no parking in front of the private houses around the Club on Wide Lane.

Guests ordering taxis or being picked up should not do this at the end of the alleyway to the Club.  Pick up should be arranged in the lay-by 50 yards up Wide Lane.

All names of those attending must be provided at time of booking tickets.

All raffle tickets will be sold prior to the event.  None will be sold on the evening.

No cash alternatives are available.

The draw master’s decision is final.

All prize winning numbers will be published and any prizes not claimed on the night, either by those attending, or named on the reverse of the tickets, will be kept for seven days.  If, at the end of this time, the prize remains unclaimed a new number will be drawn, and the new winner notified.

Lakeside Spa – Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel

Half day Discover Package for 2, valid until 5 April 2012. Following your arrival there will be a ‘Welcome Complimentary Tea or Coffee’; 30 minute treatment each; glass of champagne and chocolates; robes, slippers and towels.  There is a total of 4 hours use of the spa facilities.

Play Shack

Two free children’s entry passes, 1 visit each, valid until April 2012.

Manor Farm Country Park

Two vouchers for one free adult day admission each to Manor Farm Country Park, Pylands Lane, Bursledon, Southampton.  Vouchers valid until November 2012.  Car Parking Charge applies.

Tour of Wickham Vineyard

Voucher for an audio tour and wine tasting at Wickham Vineyard, for bearer and 1 guest.  Voucher valid until November 2012.  Advance booking is advised, especially during summer when the grapes are on the vines.

Beaulieu

Two vouchers, each valid until 31 July 2012.  Each voucher entitles the bearer to £5 off the full entrance price for 1 person.  These vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other concessionary offer or family ticket.  Valid against admission fees only.

Marwell Wildlife

Two child day passes, valid until 31 October 2012.  The tickets are issued in accordance with Marwell Wildlife’s normal terms and conditions.  Each ticket will only admit persons as indicated and will not be exchanged for cash.

Family Portrait

The voucher for 1 full family portrait session and 1 complimentary print is valid until 25 April 2012.  One 10x8 print is included with the voucher.  This voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.  There are no cash alternatives.  Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

Tour of Hogs Back Brewery

Two vouchers entitling the bearer to one place on a tour of the Hogs Back Brewery.  All tours must be pre-booked.  Tours include a full guided tour of the brewery, complimentary drinks during the tour and a souvenir tour glass.  To qualify for complimentary drinks, you must be over 18 years of age.

Peter Shergold Hair Design

This voucher is valid until February 2012.  When booking your appointment, please ask for Peter himself.
