Coinciding with the pre-school we also run a special needs group designed specifically for the needs and requirements of your child.

The sessions are run by experienced and trained leaders and other members of highly trained staff, all of whom have extensive experience and training in a many number of different areas. They are supported by a devoted band of regular volunteers and by professional assistance from a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Educational Psychologist and Clinic Doctor.

What do we do?

We provide facilities for all types of special needs children enabling them to enjoy group play and develop learning skills.

We also offer support, advice and friendship for parents whose children share similar problems. The children are accepted on a referral basis and their learning skills are developed according to their individual needs. They are also given support which enables them to progress into our fully inclusive pre-school.

We work a key worker system that means every child has a key adult worker to help meet that child's individual needs.

The group has the following aims...

  • To accept each child as an individual and meet all of their needs.

  • To provide satisfying group and individual play for every child.

  • To offer support, advice and friendship to all parents and to run a very open but professional group.

For more information about the group, or to arrange a visit as either a parent or any other interested party, please contact Terri or Lucy; terri@wildernopportunitygroup.co.uk or Lucy@wildernopportunitygroup.co.uk
